How come at first everyone thinks stargirl is completely mental but then everyone ends up liking her? Is it because she is very outgoing or because she is starting to go in with a different crowd?

i think that everyone doesnt like her at first because she is new. and because she doesnt act the same as everyone els.
People are very judgmental when first meeting someone, or seeing someone for the first time. people make their assumptions and judge people by their appearnece and feed off of eachothers negative comments about one person. naturally people have the tendency to follow what the "crowd" is doind, once a few people started liking stargirl and enjoying her company many people became more accepting of her. people can be so different from what you might think they will be, you have to get to know someone in order to see their true colors before making any assumptions.
Well... for starters, it's just the first thing that any normal person would do, would to make a first judgement about someone like a new student in school. And in this case, everyone thinks she's mental. But if you notice, things start getting better for that school, the more she acts the way she is. And then they start to get annoyed of her because they got cockiness and pride get in the way. And I just think it's just the naturalism of humans.
