I think that most teenagers see different, as a bad thing.. They dont think that it is good to standout, and be who they really are in front of everyone. All they want to do is fit in, and be accepted. So if someone 'different' comes to school, they begin to stop and stare at them. And even if you wish that you were brave enough to be like them, and standout, you will stop and stare just like everyone else. Just for the feeling of fitting in.

In every school there are people who are nice and rude. I just think that all of us react differently but there are only two ways, you're either nice or rude.

Our school is just like their school because we all treat people differently just depending on what they wear, how they act around certein people. We all treat people in many different ways because if that person isn't like us then that person sticks out of everybody else and come off to us weird or totally crazy. We all judge people and always will cause everybody isn't the same.

I don't think our school totally treats people like that. In the book everyone keeps to themselves about Stargirl they don't say anything so she can hear. but at our school kids would say things loud in the halls so she would hear them.

I think it's very sad when people get made fun of for how they dress or act. You don't know what they could be going through at that point. Although, sometimes kids our age do know what is going on in made fun of kids lives and yet, they taunt them for all theyre worth. Making that kid feel as low as the dirt we stand on. That is when we can step in. We can make that kid feel they can touch higher than the mountaintops that surround us. We can make that difference if we only try.
